The Endo Optiks E2 Surgical System Console houses a 175w Xenon light source and a high resolution video camera. The E4 is the only endoscopy system that can be used with fiber-optic endoscopes, grin lens Micro-endoscopes and standard "Hopkins Rod" scopes. The unit also features automatic white balance and an optional cable that enables the firing of any laser with the Endo Optiks footswitch.
The simple front panel controls include two video inputs which enable output to multiple formats and a control for the illumination.
The E4 Endoscopy Surgical System is used for retina surgery and can be combined with other 810nm diode lasers to perform ECP for glaucoma.
